This whisky has been exclusively matured in first fill ex-bourbon barrels that were made smaller from the traditional 200L size. This gave the whisky more exposure to the wood and a richer maturation is evident in both colour and flavour. It forms the base of most whisky released to date. Rich Caramel, Vanilla with hints of oak that are coupled with tropical fruits give this whisky a characteristic Canadian feel even though it is made in a traditional Scotch process.
Our whisky uses 100% malted barley, is doubled distilled and aged for no less than three years in oak.
